Our services
Your OJS — installed, secure and current
We install Open Journal Systems on your server or ours, and make it ready to publish — domain, SSL, email and plugins included.
What is this service?
OJS Installation sets Open Journal Systems up on your server or ours and makes it ready to publish. After set-up we stay with you for upgrades, backups and security.
Server and installation
Server resources are sized to your needs; the current stable OJS, its database and file storage are installed with safe permissions. Several journals can run on one installation.
- Current stable release
- Multi-journal set-up
- Safe file permissions
Domain, SSL and email
Your journal goes live on its own domain with an auto-renewing SSL certificate. System emails (submission notices, referee invitations) are sent through a reliable server, with the records that keep them out of spam.
- Automatic SSL
- SPF/DKIM records
- Your own domain
Plugins and integrations
DOI (Crossref), ORCID, Google Scholar, statistics and backup plugins are installed and configured; we can build custom plugins when needed.
- Crossref DOI
- ORCID
- Google Scholar
Maintenance and migration
Regular backups are taken and restores tested. OJS upgrades are tried on a test copy first; data can be moved from an older system or another server.
- Regular backups
- Tested upgrades
- Data migration
