Abstract:
This study examines the concepts of order, measure and chaos in the universe in relation to selected Qur’anic verses and modern scientific literature. The main aim is to clarify whether chaos should be understood as randomness or absolute disorder in a scientific context. A qualitative research design was adopted and document analysis was used. The study examined Qur’anic verses related to measure, harmony, time reckoning and divine determination together with major works on chaos theory, nonlinear dynamics, fractal geometry, cosmic order and the relationship between science and religion. The findings indicate that chaos is not treated in the scientific literature as mere disorder. It is described as complex behavior that emerges within mathematically defined systems. The Qur’anic emphasis on measure and order should not be reduced to a scientific theory. Nevertheless, both fields provide a meaningful basis for discussing the idea that the universe is not a random and meaningless totality.
